Welcome to the summer days of the Music Industry. These last few months have certainly had their fair share of activity within the A&R Community so be sure to check out the latest issue of our A&R Registry that was just released! Before we delve into the changes across the A&R community, we wanted you to be aware of some changes in other areas as well. Beka Tischker has been promoted to SVP A&R at Prescription Songs as well as Kemosabe – Dr. Luke’s joint venture with Sony. Michelle Belcher joins Sony Music Label Group as VP Licensing and Rob Stevenson – EVP A&R Universal/ Republic is now EVP of the entire label. Also, Amanda Schupf has left Imagem Music to oversee A&R and Creative for the newly formed INgrooves Rights Services, a division of INgrooves Music Group. In the world of A&R, this summer has been a fairly active one so far......... Katie Welle joins RCA’s A&R Dept from Sony/ATV, Joei Manda joins Interscope’s Urban A&R team while over in Burbank, Samantha Maloney and Ryan Press both join the growing A&R team at Warner Bros. In New York, Chris Anderson joins Verity’s A&R Department. Exiting their A&R posts are Universal/Republic’s Nigel Mac, Verity’s Dee Dee Saison and Julian Reymond at Warner Bros. In A&R moves (as in from one A&R job to another – an increasingly rare occurance these days) Evan Lipschutz joins Atlantic from Mercury. The other A&R move is Atlantic’s Aaron Bay-Schuck who will be joining Interscope’s A&R team in October. Universal Latin, Universal –Australia, EMI Australia, 604, Big Bold Sun, Distort, Awesome have all moved to new locations so please make note of their new address information in our new issue.
